Derek joined the firm in 2011 after earning 2 Business degrees from The University of Iowa. With over a decade of experience, Derek enjoys tackling complex financial situations and breaking them down into clear, understandable steps so clients can feel confident in their decisions He genuinely cares about getting to know his clients—their stories, their “why,” and what matters most—so he can help them overcome challenges and build a path toward lasting financial success.
Outside the office, Derek loves spending time with his wife and their two children. He’s an avid fan of Hawkeye athletics and the Green Bay Packers and he enjoys staying active—whether it’s working out or simply getting outdoors to enjoy the elements.
